Turns out that with a new year new beginnings really do spring up. As exciting as these new beginnings are, it is always sad to put an end to the old ones. Well, I wouldn't say an end, but rather a hold. And it totally sucks because what was once so good and so pure and so real and so exciting has become stale, tainted, and almost fabricated. But with every life pause a new story arises. What's scary about that is with every new story comes the same feelings as before: the goodness, purity, realness, and excitement. And I know in my heart that what is being put on hold is real and meant to last. These people will always be in my life whether I want them to or not. I truly believe that the friendship we have is one from God and cannot be destroyed no matter what. This is just a bump in the road. A pause. A hold. I just hope that with the new beginning, it stays fresh and exciting. One night's adventure can tell you a lot about a future relationship.
Just remember that nothing gold can stay.
Well, that's a little pessimistic. But things that are gold stay shiny for a little while, become dull, and shine right back up again. So I guess the saying can be 'nothing gold can stay gold its entire duration of existence.'
Boy was that a mouthful.
